April 2 - 23, 2022 Nina Amin - BEYOND ABSTRACT "My journey to self-actualization has been through the exploration of gestural abstraction, it has awoken a new world with different appreciations and challenges. "The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance." Over the last few years, I have been drawn to exploration in abstract expression with nature as inspiration, the play of colors and symphony of brush. My new pieces have given me the courage to break down barriers in my art and appreciate the significance each piece has to offer. I hope these pieces will install fearlessness in all that see it, and hope to bring everyone together in the appreciation of different gestural pieces and appreciation to all kinds of work in the art community."
